Palestine records 18 deaths and 1,906 new COVID-19 cases

Palestine recorded 18 deaths and 1,906 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, announced the Palestinian Minister of Health Mai al-Kaileh Thursday.

The new deaths involved nine in the West Bank, six in Gaza Strip and three in Jerusalem City.
The recovery rate in Palestine stands at 80.3 percent, while the active case rate is 18.8 percent and the death rate is 0.9 percent.

The new coronavirus cases include 166 in Hebron; 202 in Nablus; 135 in Bethlehem; 60 in Qalqilya; 168 in Ramallah and Al-Bireh; 137 in Jenin; seven in Jericho and Al-Aghwar; 85 in Salfit; 64 in Tulkarem; 56 in Tubas; 656 in Gaza Strip; 140 in Jerusalem City and 30 in the suburbs of Occupied Jerusalem.

The recovery cases include 92 in Hebron; 42 in Jenin; 42 in Nablus; 41 in Tulkarem; 73 in Ramallah and Al-Bireh; 139 in Bethlehem; 11 in Tubas; 27 in Qalqilya; 65 in Salfit; 70 in Jerusalem City and 210 in Gaza Strip.
A total of 7,642 PCR tests have been conducted.

Currently, 57 people are in the Intensive Care Unit and eight are on ventilators.
