Prime Minister Bisher Al-Khasawneh Wednesday called on ministries and relevant institutions to take necessary measures in ensuring that commodity prices are not excessive, while activating regulations to ensure compliance.

The Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply Maha al-Ali presented several legal measure which must be taken to control the prices of commodities and basic materials. The ministry has the necessary legal and oversight tools to ensure compliance and prevent any practices that violate the law, she added.

The ministry and other relevant institutions have strengthened and increased daily inspections and measures taken against those who violate laws.

Ali stressed that the Kingdom's supply of basic commodities is sufficient.
