More than 1.4 million COVID-19 deaths recorded worldwide

A total of 1,416,836 people have died from coronavirus worldwide, according to Worldometers Wednesday.

The number of COVID-19 cases around the world totals 60,186,377 with 41,642,440 recoveries.

Since the beginning of the pandemic in late last year, five countries have topped the list of countries worst affected by the coronavirus, which are:

- The US: 12,956,783 total cases, 265,956 deaths, and 7,639,084 recovery cases.

- India: 9,222,216 total cases, 134,743 deaths, and 8,642,771 recovery cases.

- Brazil: 6,121,449 total cases, 170,179 deaths, and 5,476,018 recovery cases.

- Russia: 2,162,503 total cases, 37,538 deaths, and 1,660,419 recovery cases.

- France: 2,153,815 total cases, 50,237 deaths, and 154,679 recovery cases.
