Students' return to school depends on COVID-19 situation in Jordan: Health Ministry

The return of students to schools depends on the COVID-19 situation in Jordan, said the spokesperson for the Ministry of Education Abdul Ghafour Al-Quraan Tuesday. News published about the Minister Tayseer al-Nuaimi's statement on the matter was not complete, he added.

The need for remote learning was urgent as a result of the COVID-19 situation in the Kingdom, he said. The distance learning experience benefited all those involved in the process including students, teachers and parents, he added. Quraan pointed out that the percentage of students interacting during online lessons exceeded 88 percent.

Quraan said the ministry hopes all students will return to their schools and make up for the lessons they missed, especially subjects that can only be understood through face-to-face education.
