Prime Minister Bisher Al-Khasawneh held a press briefing Tuesday at the Prime Ministry to discuss governmental developments.

The government is working on creating new job opportunities and preserve existing ones, Khasawneh said.

This came following the Head of the Coronavirus Portfolio at the Ministry of Health Wael Hayajneh announcing to Roya Monday that a number of new medical staff will be appointed in different hospitals in Jordan within the next two days.

The number of the new medical staff will reach 2,000, including doctors, nurses, and technicians.

All field hospitals will start operating soon, and the government will establish six more field hospitals, Khasawneh added.

Earlier Tuesday, His Majesty King Abdullah II inaugurated a military field hospital designed to receive coronavirus patients in Zarqa. The Prince Hashem field hospital is equipped with approximately 200 beds and innovative medical equipment.

Additionally, a new program will be released to expand social protection for individuals affected by coronavirus which will be announced next week, Khasawneh said.

Khasawneh added that the government is working to stimulate investment and maximize productive projects.
