Jordan records 66 deaths and 4,981 new coronavirus cases

Jordan has recorded 66 deaths and 4,981 new COVID-19 cases Monday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 188,410.

The number of coronavirus deaths in the Kingdom now totals 2,302.

The cases are:

- 1,751 in Amman

- 436 in Zarqa

- 279 in Karak

- 264 in Jerash

- 192 in Aqaba

- 94 in Madaba

- 872 in Irbid

- 340 in Mafraq

- 266 in Balqa

- 259 in Ajlun

- 135 in Ma'an 

- 93 in Tafilah

A total of 250 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 229 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are a total of 66,094 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 5,996 recoveries have been recorded from hospitals and home quarantine, bringing the total amount of recoveries since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 120,014.

There are 2,155 patients receiving treatment in hospitals, including 453 in the Intensive Care Units.

A total of 25,349 PCR tests have been conducted, bringing the total number of tests conducted since the beginning of the crisis to 2,383,578.

Monday, 19.6 percent of PCR tests have come back positive.
