Monday, the Minister of Health Nathir Obeidat and Head of the Coronavirus Portfolio at the Ministry of Health Wael Al-Hayajneh visited the Gardens Hospital in Amman.

During their visit, Hayajneh said that 44 percent of hospital beds are occupied by COVID-19 patients. Additionally, 49 to 51 percent of ICU beds in hospitals are occupied.

However, only 30 percent of ventilators are currently being used by coronavirus patients.

Hayajneh said that field hospitals will have a capacity of 750 beds, including 180 ICU beds.

Hayajneh told Roya that new medical staff will be appointed in different hospitals in Jordan within the next two days. The number of the new medical staff will reach 2,000, including doctors, nurses, and technicians.
