A lockdown will be imposed in the West Bank from Friday morning until Sunday morning, announced the Palestinian Prime Minister Muhammad Shtayyeh Monday. The lockdown excludes pharmacies and bakeries, which will be allowed to operate normally over the weekend.

An overnight lockdown will be imposed on weekdays for the next two weeks, starting at 7pm and ending at 6am.

Palestine has this week recorded an overwhelming increase in COVID-19 cases.
