Jordan records 64 deaths and 5,268 new coronavirus cases

Jordan has recorded 64 deaths and 5,268 new COVID-19 cases Sunday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 183,429.

The number of coronavirus deaths in Jordan now totals 2,236.

The cases are: 

- 1,699 in Amman

- 661 in Jerash

- 371 in Zarqa

- 162 in Karak

- 85 in Maan

- 23 in Madaba

- 1,441 in Irbid

- 372 in Balqa

- 268 in Aqaba

- 138 in Tafilah

- 46 in Mafraq

- Two in Ajlun 

A total of 249 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 212 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are a total of 67,175 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 5,665 recoveries have been recorded from hospitals and home quarantine, bringing the total amount of recoveries since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 114,018.

There are 2,153 patients receiving treatment in hospitals, including 446 in the Intensive Care Units.

A total of 23,953 PCR tests have been conducted, bringing the total number of tests conducted since the beginning of the crisis to 2,358,229.

Sunday, 22 percent of PCR tests have come back positive.
