Ramtha recorded more than 1,000 coronavirus cases Sunday, a medical source told Al Ra'i newspaper.

The source added that the number of cases might soon exceed 1,200 cases.

The infected cases may have contracted the virus after coming into contact with positive cases during the post-election celebrations, the source said.
