The Jordanian Nurses and Midwives Council (JNMC) Sunday announced the death of the first Jordanian nurse to die since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis in March.

The head of the JNMC Khaled al-Rababa told Roya that the male nurse was 40 years old and worked at the Burns and Plastic Surgery Department at Al-Bashir Hospitals. The deceased did not suffer from any chronic diseases or underlying health issues.

The nurse passed away at Prince Hamzah Hospital after contracting COVID-19 two weeks ago.
