Jordan records 56 deaths, 3,826 new COVID-19 cases

Jordan has recorded 56 deaths and 3,826 new coronavirus cases Saturday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 178,161.

The number of COVID-19 deaths in Jordan now totals 2,172.

The cases are: 

- 1,543 in Amman

- 328 in Balqa

- 295 in Irbid

- 213 in Mafraq

- 139 in Zarqa

- 101 in Madaba

- 361 in Karak

- 297 in Ajlun

- 213 in Ma'an

- 189 in Aqaba

- 129 in Tafilah

- 18 in Jerash

A total of 210 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 130 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are a total of 67,636 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 4,519 recoveries have been recorded from hospitals and home quarantine, bringing the total amount of recoveries since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 108,353.

There are 2,133 patients receiving treatment in hospitals, including 427 in the Intensive Care Units.

A total of 18,518 PCR tests have been conducted, bringing the total number of tests conducted since the beginning of the crisis to 2,334,276.

Saturday, 20.66 percent of PCR tests have come back positive.
