14 deaths and 1,486 new COVID-19 cases in Palestine

Palestine has recorded 14 deaths and 1,486 new COVID-19 cases over the past 24 hours, announced the Palestinian Minister of Health Mai al-Kileh Friday.

A total of 10 deaths were reported in the West Bank and four in the Gaza Strip. The deaths involve three citizens in Hebron (64, 65 and 68), four in Nablus (61, 89, 95 and 93), two in Jenin (43 and 64), a 66-year-old man in Tubas and four in Gaza Strip.

The recovery rate stands at 84.94 percent, while the active case rate is 14.22 percent and the death rate is 0.84 percent.

The new coronavirus cases include 25 in Hebron; 212 in Nablus; 91 in Bethlehem; 23 in Qalqilya; 95 in Ramallah and Al-Bireh; 68 in Jenin; 10 in Jericho and Al-Aghwar; five in Salfit; 17 in Tulkarem; 33 in Tubas; 891 in Gaza Strip and 16 in the suburbs of Jerusalem.

The recovery cases include 41 in Hebron; 26 in Jenin; 27 in Nablus; 16 in Salfit; 13 in Tulkarem; four in Tubas; 101 in Bethlehem; 51 in the suburbs of Jerusalem and 225 in Gaza Strip.

Currently, 51 people are in the Intensive Care Unit and nine are on ventilators.
