Jordan records 63 deaths and 4,940 new coronavirus cases

Jordan has recorded 63 deaths and 4,940 new coronavirus cases Friday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 174,335.

The COVID-19 death toll has risen to 2,116.

The cases are as follows: 

  • 1,688 in Amman
  • 456 in Zarqa
  • 337 in Mafraq
  • 244 in Jerash 
  • 182 in Madaba
  • 93 in Aqaba
  • 894 in Irbid
  • 339 in Ajloun
  • 330 in Karak
  • 202 in Balqa
  • 95 in Tafilah
  • 80 in Ma'an

A total of 240 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 217 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are a total of 68,385 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 3,554 recoveries have been recorded from hospitals and home quarantine, bringing the total amount of recoveries since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 103,834.

There are 2,213 patients receiving treatment in hospitals, including 447 in the Intensive Care Units.

A total of 22,814 PCR tests have been conducted, bringing the total number of tests conducted since the beginning of the crisis to 2,315,758.

Friday, 21.65 percent of PCR tests have come back positive.
