Eight deaths and 1,472 new COVID-19 cases in Palestine

Palestine has recorded eight deaths and 1,472 new COVID-19 cases over the past 24 hours, announced the Palestinian Minister of Health Mai al-Kileh Friday.

Six deaths were reported in the West Bank and two in the Gaza Strip.

The recovery rate stands at 85.87 percent, while the active case rate is 13.29 percent and the death rate is 0.84 percent.

A total of 1,472 new coronavirus cases have been recorded including 111 in Hebron; 200 in Nablus; 108 in Bethlehem; 18 in Qalqilya; 36 in Ramallah and Al-Bireh; 110 in Jenin; 11 in Jericho and Al-Aghwar; 15 in Salfit; 47 in Tulkarem; 44 in Tubas; 754 in Gaza Strip and 18 in the suburbs of Jerusalem.

A total of 410 recovery cases have been recorded including 49 in Hebron; 26 in Jenin; 28 in Nablus; four in Salfit; 25 in Tulkarem; six in Tubas; 16 in Qalqilya; 16 in Jericho and Al-Aghwar; 35 in Bethlehem and 205 in Gaza Strip.

Currently, 45 people are in the Intensive Care Unit and 10 are on ventilators.

A total of 7,256 PCR tests were conducted Friday.
