A total of 3,930 individuals and 476 establishments received official warnings for non-compliance with health and safety measures since the beginning of the week, said the spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate (PSD) Thursday.

The violations involve not wearing facemasks and lack of social distancing in public places, including markets, shops and malls.

Establishments whose owners or workers did not comply with defense orders, have been shut down.

Inspection campaigns are ongoing across the Kingdom to ensure compliance with health and safety measures, said the spokesperson.

The PSD called on citizens to contribute to limiting the spreading of COVID-19, and commit to both wearing facemasks and social distancing. He asked people to take the coronavirus crisis seriously, especially with the increasing number of positive cases.
