Minister of Labor Ma'an Qatamin Thursday announced the extension of the expatriation period granted to Egyptian workers in Jordan by eight days. The decision includes Egyptian workers who took a leave March 10 or after and those whose work permits expired while outside the country.

The official statement explained that the expatriation period takes into account local employers' conditions to ensure the sustainability of operations for Jordanian businesses.
