Jordan records 84 deaths and 5,470 new coronavirus cases

Jordan has recorded 84 deaths and 5,470 new coronavirus cases Thursday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 169,395.

The number of COVID-19 deaths in Jordan now totals 2,053.

The cases are:

- 2,378 in Amman

- 670 in Irbid, including 41 in Ramtha

- 495 in Balqa

- 372 in Ajloun

- 353 in Zarqa

- 332 in Karak

- 223 in Jerash

- 169 in Mafraq

- 167 in Ma'an, including 72 in Petra

- 163 in Aqaba

- 96 in Tafilah

- 52 in Madaba.

A total of 230 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 170 have been discharged upon recovery.

A total of 5,384 recoveries have been recorded from hospitals and home quarantine, bringing the total amount of recoveries since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 100,280.

There are 2,237 patients receiving treatment in hospitals, including 462 in the Intensive Care Units.

A total of 24,210 PCR tests have been conducted, bringing the total number of tests conducted since the beginning of the crisis to 2,292,944.

Thursday, 22.6 percent of PCR tests have come back positive.
