Nine deaths and 1,251 new COVID-19 cases in Palestine

Palestine has recorded nine deaths and 1,251 new COVID-19 cases over the past 24 hours, announced the Palestinian Minister of Health Mai al-Kileh Thursday.

Seven deaths were reported in the West Bank and two in the Gaza Strip.

The recovery rate stands at 86.9 percent, while the active cases rate is 12.2 percent and the death rate is 0.9 percent.

A total of 1,251 new coronavirus cases have been recorded including 113 in Hebron; 238 in Nablus; 68 in Bethlehem; 17 in Qalqilya; 90 in Ramallah and Al-Bireh; 92 in Jenin; eight in Jericho and Al-Aghwar; 19 in Salfit; 34 in Tulkarem; 37 in Tubas; 368 in Gaza Strip; 141 in Jerusalem; and 26 in the suburbs of Jerusalem.

A total of 912 recovery cases have been recorded involving 48 in Hebron; 45 in Jenin; 103 in Nablus; 16 in Salfit; 19 in Tulkarem; 36 in Ramallah and Al-Bireh; five in Tubas; nine in Jericho and Al-Aghwar; 345 in Gaza Strip and 286 in Jerusalem.

Currently, 45 people are in the Intensive Care Unit and 10 are on ventilators.

A total of 5,609 PCR tests were conducted Thursday.
