Palestine confirms nine deaths and 1,251 new COVID-19 cases

Palestine has recorded nine deaths and 1,251 new COVID-19 cases, announced the Palestinian Minister of Health Mai al-Kileh Wednesday.

The deaths reported included five in the West Bank and four in Gaza Strip. The recovery rate stands at 87.2 percent, while the active cases rate is 12 percent and the death rate is 0.8 percent.

The new coronavirus cases included 89 in Hebron; 178 in Nablus; 105 in Bethlehem; 21 in Qalqilya; 81 in Ramallah and Al-Bireh; 56 in Jenin; 10 in Jericho and Al-Aghwar; 20 in Salfit; 33 in Tulkarem; 18 in Tubas; 600 in Gaza Strip; and 31 in the suburbs of Jerusalem.

The recovery cases include 81 in Hebron; 24 in Jenin; 377 in Nablus; 34 in Tulkarem; 13 in Qalqilya; eight in Salfit; 229 in Bethlehem; 10 in Tubas; 48 in Ramallah and al-Bireh; and 335 in Gaza Strip.

Currently, 43 people are in the Intensive Care Unit and 10 are on ventilators.
