The Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs has intentions to reconsider the health facilities rules in mosques on main roads, including the Desert Highway, said The Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, Mohammed Al-Khalaileh in statements to Roya Wednesday.

In addition, Al-Khalaileh emphasized that the banning the broadcast of Friday prayers on the loudspeaker is a policy that Jordan has followed since the 1970s.

Al-Khalaileh explained that the ministry granted powers to the Awqaf leaders to deliver the sermons and prayers in public squares if required, calling for the need to adhere to the measures set to confront the coronavirus crisis.

Earlier, Al-Khalaileh expressed the necessity to adhere to the Friday prayers and sermons on internal speakers only.
