A horrific murder has taken place in Egypt Tuesday, after a young Egyptian student murdered his mother and brother, and attempted to kill his sister’s husband.

Witnesses claimed the student stabbed his family members with a knife, and sat on the stairs crying in a state of excitement, according to what was reported by Egyptian media.

The neighbors informed security services after hearing screaming sounds. In addition, the neighbors claimed that the student suffered from mental illness.

The student was arrested and the two bodies and the injured man were taken to the hospital, and investigations are currently underway.
