Two restaurants have been shut down in Amman for non-compliance with public health and safety measures, announced a joint committee between the Ministries of Interior and Tourism Tuesday.

Strict measures will be taken against those who violate defense orders, said an official source from the Ministry of Interior. Relevant authorities will continue to conduct inspections and ensure compliance with health and safety measures among citizens and institutions, he said.

The source reiterated the need to adhere to precautionary measures, especially social distancing and wearing facemasks, to prevent further spreading of the virus.
