Restaurants, cafes no longer permitted to serve shisha: Government

Restaurants and cafes will no longer be permitted to serve shisha starting Tuesday Nov. 17, announced the Prime Minister Bisher Al-Khasawneh Monday.

Additionally, the government said billiards and snooker centers, sports facilities, and game centers will stop operating Tuesday.

Any citizen who violates the new defense order will face imprisonment for no more than six months or a fine of no less than JOD 500 and no more than JOD 1,000.
