The Israeli occupation army bombed Hamas sites Gaza at dawn Sunday in response to the firing of two rockets from the Palestinian sector towards the Occupier.

"The Israeli army is currently assessing the situation and remains ready to take decisive measures against terrorist operations that target civilians or violate Israeli sovereignty," the Israeli occupation Army said in a message.

In Gaza, security sources reported that several Israeli occupation strikes took place at night in areas including Khan Yunis, Rafah and Beit Hanoun. The sources reported no casualties.

The rocket fire comes days after the anniversary of the assassination Islamic Jihad military leader, Bahaa Abu Al-Ata, in the Hamas-run Gaza Strip.

Abu Al-Ata and his wife were killed Nov. 12, 2019, in a raid by the Israeli occupation army and the Internal Security Forces (Shin Bet) on their home. In response, approximately 200 rockets were fired at the Israeli occupier.

Thursday, Islamic Jihad organized a military parade in central Gaza City to commemorate Abu Al-Atta.

A senior official in the movement said, during the commemoration of this memory, that "the Al-Quds Brigades will determine the place and time of the response to the assassination of Abu Al-Atta."
