Palestine has entered the nationwide spread stage of the coronavirus crisis, announced the Director of Preventive Medicine at the Palestinian Ministry of Health Samer Al-Saad Sunday.

The nationwide spread occurs when a person gets infected with the virus without knowing the source of the infection.

Al-Saad said the source of a COVID-19 infection is unknown in most cases in Palestine, adding that citizens should adhere to all precautionary measures to prevent the spread of the virus.

Palestine has a total of 63,143 confirmed coronavirus cases and 565 deaths since the beginning of the pandemic.
