King Abdullah II Sunday sent a congratulatory message to Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on the 32nd anniversary of the Palestinian Declaration of Independence.

His Majesty affirmed that Jordan will continue to work with its Palestinian brothers to create a sovereign Palestinian state as per June 4. 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital, on the basis of a two-state solution.

This comes in accordance with international law, resolutions of international legitimacy, and the Arab Peace Initiative as a way to achieve a just, comprehensive, lasting peace and a secure and prosperous future for Palestine.

His Majesty stressed his support for all aspects of cooperation and coordination between Jordan and Palestine, and he expressed his keenness to strengthen and advance relations in the interest of the two parties.

On His Majesty’s behalf and on behalf of the people and government of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, His Majesty expressed his wishes for the continued health and wellness of Abbas and the Palestinian people.
