The Director of Ma’an Health Affairs, Amjad Abu Darwish, announced Saturday that a COVID-19 field hospital in Ma'an is under construction. 

Abu Darwish added in a press statement Saturday that the hospital is being built on land near Ma’an Government Hospital, and will have a capacity of 250 beds, including 50 beds designated for the Intensive Care Unit.

The Ministry of Health will provide all services and medical equipment required for the field hospital.
