A public sanitation worker has been killed and two other people have been injured after being run over while performing their official duties in Amman Friday, the Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) announced on their Twitter account.

The accident happened inside the Sahafa tunnel in Amman. The deceased and the other two people were hit by a woman who was driving an unlicensed vehicle, GAM said.

The injured were transported to Jordan University Hospital, GAM added.
