Six deaths, 730 new coronavirus cases in Palestine

Palestine has recorded six deaths and 730 new COVID-19 cases, announced the Palestinian Minister of Health Mai al-Kileh Friday.

The deaths reported involved five in West Bank and one in Gaza Strip.

The recovery rate stands at 88.1 percent, while the active cases rate is 11.1 percent and the death rate is 0.8 percent.

The new coronavirus cases included 46 in Hebron; 152 in Nablus; 57 in Bethlehem; 19 in Qalqilya; 43 in Ramallah and Al-Bireh; 35 in Jenin; 10 in Jericho and Al-Aghwar; 46 in Salfit; 30 in Tulkarem; five in Tubas; 274 in Gaza Strip; and 13 in the suburbs of Jerusalem.

A total of 506 recovery cases have been recorded involving 52 in Hebron; 44 in Jenin; 100 in Nablus; 35 in Tulkarem; 15 in Salfit; five in Qalqilya; and 255 in Gaza Strip.

Currently, 40 people are in the Intensive Care Unit and 10 are on ventilators.

A total of 4,646 PCR tests have been conducted.
