14 deaths, 660 new coronavirus cases in Palestine

Palestine has recorded 14 deaths and 660 new COVID-19 cases over the past 24 hours, announced the Palestinian Minister of Health Mai al-Kileh Tuesday.

The deaths reported involved nine in West Bank, three in Gaza Strip and two in Jerusalem.

The recovery rate stands at 88.1 percent, while the active cases rate is 11.1 percent and the death rate is 0.8 percent.

The new coronavirus cases included 48 in Hebron; 111 in Nablus; 67 in Bethlehem; 16 in Qalqilya; 57 in Ramallah and Al-Bireh; 36 in Jenin; two in Jericho and Al-Aghwar; 16 in Salfit; 26 in Tulkarem; five in Tubas; 191 in Gaza Strip; nine in the suburbs of Jerusalem; and 76 in Jerusalem.

A total of 588 recovery cases have been recorded involving 74 in Hebron; 24 in Jenin; 117 in Nablus; 12 in Tulkarem; three in Qalqilya; 10 in Salfit; 67 in Ramallah and al-Bireh; 51 in Jericho and al-Aghwar; 189 in Gaza Strip; and 40 in Jerusalem.

Currently, 40 people are in the Intensive Care Unit and 11 are on ventilators.

A total of 4,731 PCR tests have been conducted.
