Five deaths,  680 new COVID-19 cases in Palestine

Palestine has recorded five deaths and 680 new COVID-19 cases over the past 24 hours, announced the Palestinian Minister of Health Mai al-Kileh Monday.

The deaths reported involved five in the West Bank: an 88-year-old man, a 53-year-old woman, a 76 -year-old man, 51-year-old man and 83-year-old man.

The recovery rate stands at 88.1 percent, while the active cases rate is 11.1 percent and the death rate is 0.8 percent.

The new coronavirus cases included 82 in Hebron; 132 in Nablus; 54 in Bethlehem; 15 in Qalqilya; 41 in Ramallah and Al-Bireh; 36 in Jenin; five in Jericho and Al-Aghwar; four in Salfit; 23 in Tulkarem; six in Tubas; 270 in Gaza Strip and 12 in the suburbs of Jerusalem.

A total of 470 recovery cases have been recorded involving 18 in Hebron; 19 in Jenin; 133 in Nablus; 28 in Tulkarem; 9 in Qalqilya; seven in Salfit; two in Tubas; 44 in Ramallah and Al-Bireh and 210 in Gaza Strip.

Currently, 41 people are in the Intensive Care Unit and 10 are on ventilators.

A total of 5,041 PCR tests have been conducted.
