An official source at the Ministry of Interior confirmed that the videos which violate defense orders that are currently circulating on social media which show rallies for parliamentary election candidates are outdated videos and the necessary legal measures have been taken against the perpetrators.

The source stressed that the strictest legal and administrative measures will be taken against those behind the launch of these videos, as it serves goals that are totally inconsistent with the national interest of the Kingdom.

The Minister of Interior, Tawfiq Al-Halalmeh, had previously instructed security services on the necessity to adhere to defense orders and prevent gatherings in weddings, events and election rallies.
