Jordan records 67 deaths and 5,384 new COVID-19 cases

A total of 67 deaths and 5,384 new coronavirus cases have been recorded in Jordan Friday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 101,248.

The cases are:

  • 3,039 in Amman
  • 762 in Zarqa
  • 398 in Irbid, 12 of which in Ramtha
  • 275 in Balqa
  • 243 in Jerash
  • 204 in Ma'an, 39 of which in Petra
  • 151 in Madaba
  • 96 in Tafilah
  • 89 in Karak
  • 73 in Aqaba
  • 44 in Ajloun
  • 10 in Mafraq

The death toll since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis now totals 1,136.

A total of 253 cases have been admitted to designated hopsitals and 170 recovery cases have been discharged.

Additionally, a total of 1,786 COVID-19 patients are currently receiving treatment at Jordanian hospitals, 382 of which are in the Intensive Care Units. 

A total of 23,306 PCR tests have been conducted Friday, bringing the total number of tests conducted since the beginning of the crisis to 2,003,989.

The precentage of positive cases in Jordan Friday is 23.1 percent.
