Three deaths and 734 new COVID-19 cases in Palestine

Palestine has recorded three deaths and 734 new COVID-19 cases, announced the Palestinian Minister of Health Mai al-Kileh Wednesday.

The deaths were reported in the West Bank involving a 90-year-old man in Nablus, a 79-year-old woman in Bethlehem and a 92-year-old woman in Tulkarem.

The recovery rate stands at 87.87 percent, while the active cases rate is 11.28 percent and the death rate is 0.85 percent.

The new coronavirus cases included 54 in Hebron; 132 in Nablus; 50 in Bethlehem; seven in Qalqilya; 41 in Ramallah and al-Bireh; 42 in Jenin; nine in Jericho and Al-Aghwar; five in Salfit; 36 in Tulkarem; five in Tubas; 281 in Gaza Strip; 20 in the suburbs of Jerusalem and 52 in Jerusalem City.

A total of 526 recovery cases have been recorded involving 133 in Hebron; 101 in Nablus; 46 in Jenin; 43 in Tulkarem; seven in Qalqilya; six in Tubas; 14 in Salfit; 130 in Gaza Strip and 46 in Jerusalem City.

Currently, 36 people are in the Intensive Care Unit and eight are on ventilators.

A total of 5,632 PCR tests have been conducted.
