A total of 1,697 official warnings have been issued to citizens and 326 establishments were shut down over the past 24 hours for non-compliance with defence orders, said the spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate (PSD) Wednesday.

The spokesman said the security campaigns are ongoing across the Kingdom, which aim to ensure compliance with health and safety measures including wearing facemasks and social distancing in public places.

He called on citizens to abide by health and safety measures and contribute to limiting the spread of COVID-19. He also reiterated the need to wear facemasks, social distance and take the coronavirus crisis seriously.
