Eight deaths, 633 new coronavirus cases in Palestine

Palestine has recorded eight deaths and 633 new COVID-19 cases, announced the Palestinian Minister of Health Mai al-Kileh Tuesday.

The deaths reported involved five in West Bank and three in Gaza Strip.

The recovery rate stands at 88.0 percent, while the active cases rate is 11.1 percent and the death rate is 0.9 percent.

The new coronavirus cases included 49 in Hebron; 118 in Nablus; 47 in Bethlehem; eight in Qalqilya; 52 in Ramallah and al-Bireh; 47 in Jenin; 28 in Jericho and Al-Aghwar; six in Salfit; 33 in Tulkarem; seven in Tubas; 229 in Gaza Strip; and nine in the suburbs of Jerusalem.

A total of 575 recovery cases have been recorded involving 118 in Hebron; 137 in Nablus; 14 in Jenin; 26 in Tulkarem; 22 in Qalqilya; one in Tubas; 10 in Salfit; 119 in Ramallah and al-Bireh; and 128 in Gaza Strip.

Currently, 35 people are in the Intensive Care Unit and seven are on ventilators.
