Four deaths, 749 new coronavirus cases in Palestine

Palestine has recorded four deaths and 749 new COVID-19 cases, announced the Palestinian Minister of Health Mai al-Kileh Monday.

The deaths reported involved two women in Ramallah (70, 74), a 92-year-old woman in Salfit and 77-year-old man in Hebron.

The recovery rate stands at 88.0 percent, while the active cases rate is 11.1 percent and the death rate is 0.8 percent.

The new coronavirus cases included 67 in Hebron; 158 in Nablus; 28 in Bethlehem; 15 in Qalqilya; 63 in Ramallah and Al-Bireh; 52 in Jenin; 16 in Jericho and Al-Aghwar; eight in Salfit; 23 in Tulkarem; four in Tubas; 272 in Gaza Strip; nine in the suburbs of Jerusalem and 34 in Jerusalem City.

A total of 438 recovery cases have been recorded involving 54 in Hebron; 31 in Nablus; 15 in Jenin; 66 in Tulkarem; 11 in Qalqilya; eight in Tubas; seven in Salfit; 98 in the suburbs of Jerusalem; 42 in Jerusalem City and 106 in Gaza Strip.

A total of 4,485 PCR tests have been conducted.

Currently, 37 people are in the Intensive Care Unit and eight are on ventilators.
