Six deaths, 540 new coronavirus cases in Palestine

Palestine has recorded six deaths and 540 new COVID-19 cases over the past 24 hours, announced the Palestinian Minister of Health Mai al-Kileh Sunday.

The deaths reported involved a 61-year-old woman in Jenin, a 61-year-old woman and 59-year-old woman in Nablus, an 89-year-old man and 71-year-old man in Tulkarem and 81-year-old man in Hebron.

The recovery rate stands at 88.4 percent, while the active cases rate is 10.7 percent and the death rate is 0.9 percent.

The new coronavirus cases included 75 in Hebron; 103 in Nablus; 39 in Bethlehem; four in Qalqilya; 49 in Ramallah and Al-Bireh; 32 in Jenin; 12 in Jericho and Al-Aghwar; four in Salfit; 27 in Tulkarem; three in Tubas; 185 in Gaza Strip and seven in the suburbs of Jerusalem.

A total of 464 recovery cases have been recorded involving 73 in Hebron; 113 in Bethlehem; 35 in Tulkarem; 40 in Jenin; 12 in Salfit; two in Tubas; and 189 in Gaza Strip.

A total of 4,053 PCR tests have been conducted.

Currently, 35 people are in the Intensive Care Unit and eight are on ventilators.
