Eight deaths, 504 new coronavirus cases in Palestine

Palestine has recorded eight deaths and 504 new COVID-19 cases over the past 24 hours, announced the Palestinian Minister of Health Mai al-Kileh Friday.

The deaths reported involved seven in West Bank and one in Gaza Strip.

The recovery rate stands at 88.4 percent, while the active cases rate is 10.7 percent and the death rate is 0.9 percent.

The new coronavirus cases included 37 in Hebron; 82 in Nablus; 49 in Bethlehem; seven in Qalqilya; 35 in Ramallah and Al-Bireh; 34 in Jenin; 11 in Jericho and Al-Aghwar; 33 in Salfit; 23 in Tulkarem; three in Tubas; 178 in Gaza Strip and 12 in the suburbs of Jerusalem.

A total of 448 recovery cases have been recorded involving 38 in Hebron; 65 in Nablus; 48 in Tulkarem; 18 in Qalqilya; 30 in Jenin; 104 in Ramallah and al-Bireh; two in Salfit; eight in Tubas; and 135 in Gaza Strip.

Currently, 39 people are in the Intensive Care Unit and six are on ventilators.
