Eight deaths, 460 new COVID-19 cases in Palestine

Palestine has recorded eight deaths and 460 new COVID-19 cases over the past 24 hours, announced the Palestinian Minister of Health Mai al-Kileh Wednesday.

The new deaths reported involved seven in West Bank and one in Jerusalem.

The recovery rate stands at 88.6 percent, while the active cases rate is 10.6 percent and the death rate is 0.8 percent.

The new coronavirus cases included 44 in Hebron; 98 in Nablus; 39 in Bethlehem; two in Qalqilya; 32 in Ramallah and Al-Bireh; 35 in Jenin; 18 in Jericho and Al-Aghwar; 10 in Salfit; 27 in Tulkarem; four in Tubas; 110 in Gaza Strip; 11 in the suburbs of Jerusalem; and 30 in Jerusalem.

A total of 618 recovery cases have been recorded involving 74 in Hebron; two in Salfit; 90 in Nablus; 72 in Tulkarm; 65 in Ramallah and al-Bireh; 47 in Qalqilya; 35 in Jenin; 77 in the suburbs of Jerusalem; five in Tubas; 71 in Jerusalem; and 74 in Gaza Strip.

Currently, 40 people are in the Intensive Care Unit and six are on ventilators.
