Jordan records 44 deaths and 3,800 new COVID-19 cases
Jordan records 44 deaths and 3,800 new COVID-19 cases

A total of 44 deaths and 3,800 new coronavirus cases have been recorded in Jordan Tuesday, all of which are local cases, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 58,855.

The cases are: 

  • 2,253 in Amman
  • 562 in Zarqa
  • 383 in Irbid, seven of which in Ramtha
  • 143 in Jerash
  • 98 in Tafilah
  • 87 in Karak
  • 76 in Mafraq
  • 62 in Aqaba
  • 47 in Ma'an, 18 of which in Petra
  • 44 in Balqa
  • 41 in Ajloun
  • Four in Madaba

A total of 198 patients have been admitted for treatment to COVID-19 hospitals.

The number of COVID-19 deaths in Jordan now totals 668.

A total of 29,606 PCR tests have been conducted in Jordan on Tuesday, bringing the total number of tests since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 1,758,841.
