Jordan records 45 deaths, 1,968 new COVID-19 cases

A total of 45 deaths and 1,968 new coronavirus cases have been recorded in Jordan Monday, all of which are local cases, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 55,055.

The number of COVID-19 deaths in Jordan now totals 624.

The cases are: 

  • 1,159 in Amman
  • 171 in Irbid, including 14 in Ramtha
  • 154 in Zarqa
  • 117 in Mafraq
  • 98 in Karak
  • 61 in Jerash
  • 56 in Balqa
  • 42 in Aqaba
  • 36 in Ajlun
  • 33 in Maan, including nine in Petra
  • 25 in Madaba
  • 16 in Tafilah

A total of 19,159 PCR tests have been conducted Monday, bringing the total number of tests since the beggining of the crisis to 1,729,235.

Additionally, a total of 95 COVID-19 patients were admitted to desiganted hospitals Monday.
