Eight deaths, 506 new COVID-19 cases in Palestine

Palestine has recorded eight deaths and 506 new COVID-19 cases over the past 24 hours, announced the Palestinian Minister of Health Mai al-Kileh Thursday.

Seven deaths were reported in the West Bank and on in Gaza Strip.

The recovery rate stands at 88.3 percent, while the active cases rate is 10.9 percent and the death rate is 0.8 percent.

The new coronavirus cases included 60 in Hebron; 89 in Nablus; 30 in Bethlehem; 39 in Jenin; 68 in Ramallah and al-Bireh; 11 in Qalqilya; four in Salfit; two in Tubas; 24 in Jericho and al-Aghwar; 24 in Tulkarm; 124 in Gaza Strip and 24 in the suburbs of Jerusalem.

Currently, 34 cases are in the Intensive Care Unit and five are on ventilators.
