US Ambassador to Jordan Henry Wooster is excited to be back in the country to build diplomacy, overcome the COVID-19 crisis, and eat falafel.
In a new video, Wooster, who arrived in Jordan Sept. 18, described his excitement to be back in the Hashemite Kingdom. He previously served as the Chargé d’Affaires at the US Embassy from 2017 to 2018.
“My family and I are thrilled to again experience the warmth and hospitality of the Jordanian people, your culture, Jordan’s historic and natural wonders, and, yes, the delicious food,” said Wooster.
He added that his main priorities are to “build on the partnership between our countries,” and to “get through the public and economic challenges of COVID-19.”
Wooster wasn’t all business in his address though. After it appeared the video had finished, he jokingly asked the film crew, “Anybody hungry? How about some falafel?”
