Health Minister forms committee to evaluate COVID-19 situation in Jordan

The Minister of Health, Nathir Obaidat, has formed a committee to assess the COVID-19 situation and its future prospects in Jordan Wednesday.

The new committee will analyze all data related to coronavirus variables, infection and death rates, said the Assistant Secretary-General for Primary Health Care at the Ministry of Health, Ghazi Sharkas.

According to the ministry, the committee is headed by former Minister of Health, Saad Kharabsheh, and its membership includes: Assistant Secretary-General for Primary Health Care, Ghazi Sharkas, Executive Director at Eastern Mediterranean Public Health(EMPHNET), Mohannad Al-Nsour.

In addition, Chief Executuve Officer at the Regional Center for Disease Control and Prevention, Munir Abu-Helalah, Najwa Khoury from the private sector, Bassam Hijjawi from the Doctors Syndicate, Director of Communicable Diseases at the Ministry of Health, Hadeel Al-Sayeh and Sami Al-Sheikh from the Ministry of Health.
