29 deaths, 2,648 new COVID-19 cases in Jordan, 2,646 local cases

Jordan has recorded 29 deaths and 2,648 new coronavirus cases on Wednesday, 2,646 of which are local cases, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 43,620.

The number of COVID-19 deaths in Jordan now totals 443.

The cases are: 

  • 1,578 in Amman
  • 139 in Balqa
  • 109 in Karak
  • 58 in Madaba
  • 28 in Maan, including one in Petra
  • 18 in Mafraq
  • 320 in Zarqa
  • 230 in Irbid, including 112 in Ramtha
  • 104 in Jerash
  • 36 in Aqaba
  • 24 in Ajlun
  • Two in Tafilah
  • One person coming from abroad and one Jordanian truck driver who entered the coutry via al-Omari Border Crossing.

A total of 97 COVID-19 patients have been admitted to designated hospitals and 100 recovery cases have been recorded in Jordan on Wednesday.

A total of 24,481 PCR tests have been conducted, bringing the total number of COVID-19 tests to 1,643,054.
