Questioning the effectiveness of total lockdowns is dangerous, said the head of the Pulmonology Department at the King Hussein Cancer Centre, Firas al-Hawari Monday.

During an interview with Roya's Nabd Albalad, he said the total lockdown is like a medicine without negative side effects.

Approximately 80 percent of coronavirus patients admitted to intensive care units pass away, which is "too high and unacceptable", said Hawari.

He pointed out that the number of new daily cases is not decreasing.
