34 deaths, 2,035 new COVID-19 cases in Jordan, 2,031 local cases
34 deaths, 2,035 new COVID-19 cases in Jordan, 2,031 local cases

Jordan has recorded 34 deaths and 2,035 new coronavirus cases on Tuesday, 2,031 of which are local cases, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 40,972.

The number of COVID-19 deaths in Jordan now totals 414.

The cases are: 

  • 1,218 in Amman
  • 537 in Zarqa
  • 53 in Balqa
  • 47 in Irbid, including one in Ramtha
  • 40 in Maan, including five in Petra
  • 36 in Karak
  • 35 in Mafraq
  • 27 in Madaba
  • 20 in Jerash
  • 11 in Aqaba
  • Seven in Ajlun
  • Two people who have travelled from abroad and two Jordanian truck drivers who entered the country via al-Omari Border Crossing.

A total of 76 COVID-19 patients have been admitted to designated hospitals and 117 recovery cases have been recorded in Jordan on Tuesday.

A total of 25,496 PCR tests have been conducted, bringing the total number of COVID-19 tests to 1,618,573.
