Eight deaths, 513 new COVID-19 cases in Palestine

Palestine has recorded eight deaths and 513 new COVID-19 cases over the past 24 hours, announced the Palestinian Minister of Health Mai al-Kileh Tuesday.

Six deaths were reported in the West Bank and one in Gaza Strip.

The recovery rate stands at 87.9 percent, while the active cases rate is 11.3 percent and the death rate is 0.8 percent.

The new coronavirus cases included 54 in Hebron; 89 in Nablus; 56 in Bethlehem; 26 in Jenin; 69 in Ramallah and al-Bireh; 21 in Qalqilya; 10 in Salfit; eight in Tubas; seven in Jericho and al-Aghwar; 56 in Tulkarm; 99 in Gaza Strip; and 18 in the suburbs of Jerusalem.

The recovery cases involved 76 in Hebron; 41 in Jenin; six in Qalqilya; eight in Salfit; one in Tubas; 139 in the suburbs of Jerusalem; 141 in Bethlehem; and 100 in Gaza Strip.

Currently, 35 cases are in the Intensive Care Unit and six are on ventilators.
